Not only is it just a planning tool, but it is also a way for you to take your business to new heights. An opportunity for you to manage your time, learn new planning strategies, reflect and asses. Take a look below. Let’s walk through it together.

The Power of Visualization:

The weekly layout is really your visual roadmap for your business throughout the week. You spend time making the plans on the Sunday, and now you get to execut them. With your planner open on your desk you can see what you have coming up for the week, what you need to move, what tasks you need to complete. It gives you a bigger picture of what is happening and clarity of what your successful week look like.
Managing Multiple Priorities:

I don’t know about you, but as a mom and a business owner I am always juggling multiple responsibilities. Whether I am being the taxi for the day, or I am in my business putting together party scripts, checking in with follow-up or managing my team there is always something that I am doing to move my business forward (while also being a wife and a mom). Using a weekly layout provides a dedicated space for me to give attention to not only each aspect of my business, but also priorities that I have in my home and with my family as well. I don’t want to overlook anything, and seeing it all right in front of me gives me the opportunity to makes boundary and scheduling choices accordingly.
Goal Setting and Tracking:

I love using my weekly as a way to determine when and how I can fit my goal action steps into my week. I don’t want to just use my weekly to stay where I am. I want to use it to help me move forward and that means incorporating my goals as well. I can write out my action plan for those each week, and track how I am doing in there as well. Did I complete my action plan for the week? If I didn’t, what could I do better with next week to make sure that I get it accomplished.
Time Blocking Strategies:

I am not a big time blocker, but I don’t have to have a very strict routine as well. However, other’s might so I wanted to include this advantage as well. With the weekly layout you can facilitate effective time blocking, which will enable you to allocate specific time slpts for essential tasks. When you are strategic about this approach in your business you can make sure that each aspect receives all the attention it deserves while also contributing to a more balanced and productive work week.
Flexibility for Adaptability:

As much as we love to plan, sometimes things don’t always go like we want and hope. We don’t have control over many aspects of our lives, and for that reason using a weekly is a great way to see where in your schedule you can be adaptable. If something has to shift you have the full week to determine where a task can be moved and what from your list can be pushed to next week. This ability to make real-time adjustments without losing sight of your goals is a huge advantage in the planning world.
Team Collaboration and Communication

I use my weekly religiously for keeping my team responsibilities in check. Without having my weekly to look at I would miss trainings, team check ins, emails and the ability to foster the communication between each of us as we work together. When you are able to connect with your team, have a common goal and work together the flow and success of your corporation does as well. For direct sellers leading a team, the weekly layout serves as a valuable communication tool. Sharing a synchronized view of the week with your team fosters collaboration, aligning everyone with common goals and priorities. It becomes a visual anchor for team meetings, ensuring everyone is on the same page.
Reflection and Continuous Improvement

The number one thing that planners miss in their planning is the use of reflection. Especially if you are working on a goal. Taking time at the end of the week to reflect on your work or lack thereof is super important to the planning process. Your weekly layout is a record of your achievements, your challenges and the lessons that you learned. When you take time to reflect you can identify what worked well and what areas you can make improvements on. This is a continuous feedback loop that allows you to refine your planning process and also push you forward into mastering many elements of your direct sales business. DO NOT SKIP THIS STEP!!
